Please accept this letter as a recommendation for Hunter Yoga Sync.
Approximately 15 students throughout this term have been participating in the Hunter Yoga Sync program.
Students were selected for the program as they were presenting to our wellbeing team showing signs of stress or anxiety and were looking for strategies to manage their emotions in a positive way.
Students have completed 5 weeks of the program thus far. Throughout the sessions students are kindly guided through yoga poses, that are meridian -based Yoga Therapy. The yoga poses are designed to relieve tension and stress on a physical emotional and mental level.
Throughout the sessions students also work on calming breathing techniques and growth mindset activities to create lasting change beyond the yoga room.
All students have engaged well with the program and have only positive feedback after each session.

My teenage daughter did a block of yoga therapy with Janine to help her with anxiety and breathing in her football games and at school. She found the sessions very relaxing and learnt tools to help her through stressful situations in games. Janine is very knowledgeable, has a very calming approach and we highly recommend!

My 9 year old daughter loves her weekly yoga sessions. Janine has an incredibly calm and welcoming demeanor which puts her at ease very quickly. It didn't take long for her to feel at home in class. Janine teaches techniques for strength and relaxation which will help in everyday life. More importantly, the classes have a focus on promoting positive mental health. Janine teaches practical ways to focus and clam their minds which will only prove more and more useful as my daughter gets older. I'm so pleased she's part of a supportive group which encourages self-acceptance and embraces everyone's uniqueness.

I found the class was very well thought out and well-structured providing a large variety of exercises, meditation and breathing exercises that helped calm my nerves, following with stretches and yoga poses that relieved all the tension and stress from my body. Janine has a gift of creating such a welcoming and loving environment that made me feel like I belonged which made the whole experience absolutely amazing. I strongly recommend everyone giving her class a go, because you will definitely gain a lot :)
